| Hieronder vindt u een
overzicht van musea in Dublin. De gegevens zijn afkomstig uit “Museums of the
World” (6de editie, 1997) en de “International
Directory of Arts” (24ste editie, 1998) en
werden aangepast of aangevuld. De onderstaande lijst geeft de musea in alfabetische
volgorde (volgens het eerste betekenisvolle woord van de eigennaam zoals die voorkomt in “Museums
of the World”). In de mate van het mogelijke werd ook voor elk museum een
e-mailadres en een website vermeld. In de meeste gevallen werd ook aangeduid in welke
sector het genoemde museum thuishoort. Hiervoor werden de benamingen in “Museums
of the World” of de “International Directory of Arts” gebruikt. De
vermelde trefwoorden zeggen iets meer over de aard van de collectie van de genoemde
bibliotheek. Deze trefwoorden werden overgenomen zoals ze in “Museums of the
World” voorkomen (d.w.z. onvertaald). Als laatste gegeven wordt voor elk museum
tussen rechte haken het identificatienummer gegeven waaronder het in “Museums of
the World” (MW) of de “International Directory of Arts” (IDA)
terug te vinden is.
